Auric Tracker Privacy Policy
Auric Tracker has no servers, no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. Your data stays on your own devices, and Auric Works never receives it.
Information the app reads from Apple Health
With your permission, Auric Tracker reads these types of data from Apple Health: steps, walking and running distance, flights climbed, workouts and their routes, heart rate, resting heart rate, VO2 max, active energy, and your date of birth. The app uses them only on your devices, to show your daily steps, heart-rate zones, Cardio Score, trends, achievements, and the doctor's report.
The app never writes to Apple Health. Apple Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and it is never sold or shared with anyone.
Information you enter
You can enter your goals, your age, heart-rate zone settings, journal entries such as rest weeks, sick days, and injuries, and notes on days and workouts. All of it is stored on your iPhone. Your Apple Watch receives the settings it needs over Apple's secure connection between your own devices.
Where your data is stored
- On your iPhone. Everything the app knows is stored on your iPhone. Your journal is also saved as plain text files on your iPhone, which you can open in the Files app under On My iPhone.
- In your private iCloud, only if backup is on. The optional iCloud backup, which is on by default, stores only your goals, week settings, earned achievements, and the date you installed the app. It uses Apple's iCloud key-value storage in your own iCloud account, which Auric Works cannot access. No health information is stored in iCloud.
- In your iPhone's own backup. When you back up your iPhone or move to a new one with Quick Start, Apple includes the app's data in that backup or transfer. Apple manages that backup, not Auric Works.
Purchases
The optional unlock is sold through Apple. Apple handles the payment, and the app learns only whether you have bought the unlock. Auric Works does not receive your payment details. The App Store restores your purchase on any iPhone signed in with the same Apple Account.
Notifications
Walk reminders and nudges are scheduled on your iPhone. No information is sent anywhere to create them.
Sharing
The app shares information only when you choose to, for example when you share the doctor's report or export your journal using the iPhone share sheet. Auric Works never receives what you share.
Location
The app does not use your location. It reads the routes of outdoor workouts that your Apple Watch saved to Apple Health, and it uses them only to draw maps on your iPhone.
Children
Auric Tracker is not directed at children under 13, and it does not collect data from anyone.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your devices until you delete it. You can delete it in these ways:
- Delete the app from your iPhone and Apple Watch to remove everything the app stored on them.
- In the app, open Settings and turn off Back up to iCloud. This deletes the iCloud copy.
- To change or stop Apple Health access, open the Health app, tap your profile picture, tap Apps, and tap Auric Tracker.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
